Submissions for the 11th annual Toronto Improv Festival are now open. We’re excited to announce that this year’s festival will take place in our new home at the ITC theatre in Chinatown from Oct. 22 through Oct. 27.
After more than a decade of hard work, dedication and a commitment to excellence, the Toronto Improv Festival is continuing its tradition of presenting the best improv comedy in North America. More than 1,000 performers have performed on the TIF stages and many of them have gone on to some level of celebrity, including Jason Sudeikis, John Lutz, and T.J. Miller.
There is no fee to submit to the festival. Shows can be 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes in length and you can submit as many shows as you wish. Since we’re holding the festival in our own theatre this year, we will be able to offer many more show slots than we have the past few years.
Performers will be able to purchase a wristband to get into an unlimited number of shows throughout the whole week. Each wristband includes an advertisement-free festival T-shirt, designed exclusively for performers of the 2012 festival.
To submit your show, visit the Toronto Improv Festival website, sign in or create an account, and fill out the online submission form.
