Shiva Star / House Team

Shiva Star is a high-powered pulse-power improv device located at the Impatient Theatre Co. in Toronto, Canada. The device was originally built in the 21st century for high-powered X-ray research and is now being used for improvised target fusion research.

Shiva Star creates "compact toroids" of high-density comedy that are ejected from the device using a massive improv pulse. A shot has the energy of five pounds of TNT exploding; although it causes little or no physical damage, the energy showers the interior of the target with high-energy X-rays that potentially destroy all sadness inside.

Each player represents one of the four arms of Shiva, the god of destruction and transformation. Each one does his part in destroying the targeted improv fusion toroids and transforming them into something new and meaningful.
