Rob Spenser

Words in boldface are often more important.

Being a lover of all things comedy and growing up in a suburb of New York City, Rob first became attracted to long form improv in High School, when he would head down to the city to watch shows at the UCB Theatre.

Upon moving to Toronto in 2005 for University, he began taking classes at the Second City Training Center and loved the heck out of it. Once he found out that a company in Toronto did long form improv, he jumped at the opportunity to start taking classes. At the ITC he was lucky enough to learn from some fantastic teachers: Claire Salloum, Kevin Williams, Sean Magee, Kevin Patrick Robbins, Joe Bill and Mark Sutton. He has also trained heavily under the guidance of Jess Grant and Matt Folliet.

Since his completion of the ITC training program he has been performing with the incredible Incubator team known as Legion and more recently as part of the Harold Team known by the name of Echelon. In addition, Rob was also was a part of the short lived sketch team Ice Station Zebra and is also very proud to have been the coach of some wonderful Student Teams: Anapolis, Swedish Rhapsody and the Wilhelm Scream.

Rob has never killed a goat with his bare hands to feed his family, but that is not to say he wouldn't consider it.
