Morgonn Ewen

Morgonn Ewen is an actor, improviser, singer, composer and teacher.

She presently plays on ITC's incubator team Riggins and occasionally plays on The Late Late Horror Show.

Out of her improv studies and performances, “Annabelle” has been born: she is a white trash country girl, accompanying herself on guitar, in search of answers. And to get laid. You should meet her.

Her singing repertoire consists of jazz, musical theatre and original material. As a jazz singer, Morgonn has performed at clubs and jazz festivals throughout North America. She has several recordings including the critically acclaimed CD entitled, what we see.

She has performed with Bardbusters in Macbeth (Lady et al); and as Antonio/a in Twelfth Night w/Alchemy Theatre. Other credits: Constance in Good Night Desdemona, Good Morning Juliet; Lydia Languish in The Rivals; Margaret in Much Ado About Nothing; Sophie in The Grace of Mary Traverse. She won critical acclaim for portrayal of Doris Day in (Doris Lives!) Que Sera, Toronto Fringe and won the 'Excellence in Performance' award at the New York Fringe. Selected media: CBC’s Eleven Cameras, This Is Not The Opera, Metro Morning; YTV’s System Crash; and a number of feature and short indie films.

Morgonn has completed the Conservatory Program at The Second City Training Centre and continues to study long form improv at The Impatient Theatre Company. She has also studied at the Centre for the Arts, the Professional Actors Lab, The New School of Drama, (all of Toronto), The California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, CA, The Banff Centre for Fine Arts, Banff, Alberta, and The Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto.
