Ken Hall

 

Ken recently co-produced, co-wrote and performed along side ITC's own Isaac Kessler in the criticaly acclaimed 2-Man No-Show as part of Toronto's 2009 Fringe Festival. 2-Man No-Show was awarded Patron's Pick and was critics pick for both EYE and NOW Magazine (the latter giving 2-Man No-Show an astounding 5 out of 5 N's).

Ken’s television and Internet credits include a fully improvised webseries on behalf of H&R Block (www.refundroadtrip.ca) as well as being a top 6 finalist to represent Toronto for CBC’s The Second City’s Next Comedy Legend. Ken has also appeared in a variety of independent movies and won People’s Choice Award for INspiraTO’s Third Annual Toronto Ten Minute Play Festival.

The James Brown of improv, Ken performs on a regular basis with his ITC Harold Incubator team “Nakatomi Protocol” and was a finalist in 2008 ITC’s long form improv competition Cagematch with his team “What Would Jesus Do?”

Ken is also a regular cast member of Theatresports and Pad Set at Bad Dog Theatre. Ken performs at Bad Dog Theatre in several other shows on a weekly basis.

Ken performs sketch comedy with his sketch troupe The Assembly on a bi-weekly basis opening for The Sketchersons' “Sunday Night Live” Show at The Comedy Bar.

As a graduate of Second City’s Conservatory Program Ken has studied and coached improv teams at Impatient Theatre Company and Bad Dog Theatre. He has also studied with such greats as Mick Napier, Susan Messing, Mark Sutton, (Annoyance Theatre), Charna Halpern and Joe Bill (IO), , Rich Talarico (SNL, Mad TV), Jill Bernard (ComedySportz-Twin Cities), Amando Diaz (The PIT), David Razowsky (Second City), Curtis Gwinn (UCB) and Zach Ward (D.S.I.).

Ken is an accomplished comedian, improviser, actor, performer and writer. He has performed improv in Toronto, New York City and Chicago.

Adrianne Gagnon: Adrianne studied at the ITC Training Centre with Kevin Patrick Robbins, is a graduate of The Second City Toronto Training Centre conservatory program and studied at Chicago's iO Theater with many improv luminaries.
Ted Hallett: Ted was born and raised in St. Catherines, ON. After a decade in Toronto, Ted lived in Chicago and Vancouver. While in Chicago, he studied/performed with The Playground, ImprovOlympic, Bailiwick Repertory Company and Jazz Hands Across America (Where he worked with brilliant people and created some kick ass improvised musicals.).
Steve Hobbs: Steve has studied and trained in improv relentlessly with the Impatient Theatre Co. over the years, kicking down classroom doors and taking names.
Alexandra Lean: Alexandra began her improv journey at Brock University where she was the club president of Brock Improv for two years. She is a graduate of the theatre program at Brock where she was the recipient of the F. Janet Doleman Prize for excellence in playwriting. She is a graduate of the Television: Writing and Producing program at Humber College.
