Carrie Barrett

Carrie Barrett moved from Small Town, Virginia to Chicago in 2000 to study longform improvisation at the iO and Annoyance theaters. Since then she has performed across the U.S. with the all-female group Bevy, played with TAG at "Second City Unhinged," performed solo improv in Sybilization, and presented her scripted solo show, Case Study, at iO Theatre.

She currently teaches and performs at iO, jams out with the CIF-selected foursome, Chewties!, and co-writes and performs the critically acclaimed Fowler Family Radio Hour which was selected for this year's Piccolo Spoleto Fringe Festival in Charleston, South Carolina.

Carrie has a BFA in fine arts video from the University of Illinois at Chicago and will graduate from Northwestern University's Writing for the Screen and Stage MFA program in 2009.
