Brian started his professional career at The Little Beaver Variety Store in Komoka, Ontario at the age of 13. After being fired for selling cigarettes to minors he transferred to New Orleans Pizza and Submarines, until he graduated from life guarding school and got command of his own wading pool.

After working at the pool for several years, Brian set his sights on bigger things and applied successfully to The Great Canadian Bagel. Soon after that Brian went to York University to learn how to be gay, and began working as a computer technician. It was a gay profession indeed, and after only a year Brian decided to grow up, get a job in a restaurant, and try comedy school.
