IMPROV 401: The Harold, Introduction to the Form
Students will use all the skills they have learned to create the Harold, the signature form of the Impatient Theatre Co. The Harold is the underlying form that leads to advanced formats and techniques for performing longform improv comedy.
Instructor for This Class
Annie Bankes
Annie began her improv career by accident at The Second City Toronto and after completing their training program, Annie has since studied under many great instructors such as: Pat O'Brian, Jason R. Chin and Jeff Griggs (i.O Chicago), David Razowski (Second City LA), Rich Talarico (SNL, MadTV), Susan Messing (Annoyance Theatre), and i.O Theatre's co-founder and improv guru Charna Halpern.
As a native Ajax-ian, Annie grew weary of sunny skies and green pastures, and turned to Toronto in search of smog and traffic delays. She currently performs weekly with the uproarious femme-fatale team WDWMKR, and is a cast member of ITC's flagship show Munchausen. Outside of improv, Annie is an avid collector of degrees and diplomas, and currently possesses a diploma in Film and Television Production, as well as a Counseling diploma, half a Psych degree, and is working on a degree in Social Work.
