SKETCH 101: Sketch Comedy Writing
Learn to write sketch comedy the ITC way. Students will learn how to develop premises, "game of the scene," and write in a variety of styles. The class simulates a writer's room environment, allowing students to workshop their material.
Students will be required to write sketches on their own time during the week and bring them to class. You must have the ability to print your sketches and bring copies for the class on a weekly basis.
Students should have access to a computer and professional screenwriting software. We recommend Final Draft. You may also choose to use a free program such as celtx.
